You don't enter the serial number of a scout to use it as a shared device so any scout will work in that situation.
To use it as a personal device, they have to know it's address (serial number).

I noted that the serial number trunkates to the last 5 digits. Is this correct? I also noted in testing that the line set to the Scout goes right to voicemail. When I attempt to call out on that line, I get static. Is this due to a bad serial number or a defective Scout? The hub works find with the Scout disconnected.
