Logo turns Purple then OFF on New Telo

Post by Tim H » Tue Nov 24, 2009 11:50 am

I just installed my new Telo. The FW upgrade seems to have gone OK and the phone is working.

I thought the main logo was supposed to be steadily lit blue? Mine is white (off) and when I press the brightness button it turns purple (and the bottom set of keys blue) for about 15 seconds, then in under 1 second the logo quickly turns blue, then red, then stays off. When I first press the brightness button a 2nd time it flashes thru those same colors in under a second and then stays off.

Is this normal? Is there a way to force a fresh FW download?

You could do a factory reset but I'd talk to Customer Service before you do this as it may cause you to lose additional settings??

To do the factory reset, unplug the telo for 5 sec.
Plug in and once the Ooma begins to flash red hold down both the stop and trash can keys (ooma logo should blink red/blue)
Continue to hold these two keys until the Ooma logo goes out
It should then reboot to factory defaults.
