My setup that works GREAT.

Hi everyone,

In case you are looking for some equipment to use with the Telo, I just wanted to share what equipment I use. This is just stuff I had, I didn't buy it specifically for Telo..but after using many many VOIP variations, I have to say I am floored by this setup. I actually gave up on VOIP for a while and went to landline. Then from landline directly to Ooma..there was NO quality drop for me.

Anyway, the setup:

Ooma: Ooma Telo
Modem: Motorola Surfboard 5101 cable modem (with Comcast)
Router: Asus WL-500g Premium
Phone: Panasonic KX-TG9341T

Everything (knock on wood) has been working together perfectly. I have the Telo behind the router. I have installed the freeware DD-WRT v24-sp1 (07/27/08) mega on the router.

If you have any questions let me know.

I'm using:
- Verizon supplied Westel 6100 F DSL modem
- Linksys WRT54GL Router.
- Ooma Telo
- Ooma Handset

The Telo is between the DSL modem & the Router. The Telo is in PPPoE mode and the Router is in DHCP mode.

No problems so far. Works great.

Is the router using the default firmware or a third-party one?
