My number 2 button stays lit all of the time. I have a connection to my local phone network and my landline is still active. But even with my landline disconnected from the "wall" jack on the back of the Ooma device, the button stays lit. It re-lights just as soon as the power is recycled even before the self test begins.

Any suggestions?

Same problem was in my case, I found what happened:
Did you add one more land-line number? If yes read below.

It shows that you have one more phone number assign to HUB
While you up phone and press this button [2] it switch your phone(device) to second line and you'll able to make a call by second phone line.
