a telco box is usually divide in two parts, one belong to the telco--mostly the left half, and you should not touch them, and the other half is yours. In this half, you see a bunch of color cables come out from inside and connect onto the metal posts.

If you don't have DSL, this is very simple just disconnect them all from the posts and then connect all the cables with the same color together: red with red, blue with blue, ect., or with a new house, blue with blue, blue/white with blue/while, orange with orange, orange/white with orange/white, etc.

If you still have DSL, then you need to find the wire that actually leads to the wall jack to the DSL modem, and keep this wire connect to the post, and then disconnect all others and do as above.

If you can post a picture of your box, I sure some one with experience will give you more detail instructions.

Atually, you only need to connect all the blue and blue/white pair, by conversion, this pair is wired as line 1 inside the house. The orange+orange/white is line 2.
