I just bought ooma and had it activated. I am in the process of porting our house phone #. I currently have 2 lines with AT&T, one is the main house line and the other is the dedicated fax line. We currently have DSL service on the house line.
My plan is to transfer the DSL service to the fax line, we barely pay anything for the fax line and if i keep it, then I wouldn't have to pay an additional $10 for a dry loop DSL.
So both the DSL modem and the fax line would be hooked into the DSL filter/splitter. The ooma hub would then be plugged directly into our router.
Are there any problems that I will run into based on the setup stated above?
Also, once the porting has finished and I disconnect the house line, can I use the house line's phone jacks to plug in a scout. Basically, does the scout and hub need to be connected on an active line?
Thanks in advance.

the hub and scout need to be connected however DSL signals and HPNA signals that the scout uses interfere with each other. you need to use a dedicated pair of wires between hub and scout.
