issure regarding fios using coax cable

Post by lwei98 » Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:06 pm

Hi, all

I just had fios installed at home last week. Right before I tried to plug in my ooma hub, I realized that a coax cable, instead of Ethernet cable(cat5), was used to connect between ONT to the wireless router. I guess that's probably Verizon's standard practice. However, as you all know, ooma hub only works with Ethernet cable. I'm sure someone at this forum has had similar issue before. Could anyone give me some advice? Should I contact Verizon asking them to re-wire using cat5?

Thanks a bunch!

Connect the ooma hub to a LAN port on the wireless router.
