Aircard and broadband router

Post by wagnermendel » Tue Aug 25, 2009 5:45 am

Anyone connect their ooma by using a Verizon Novatel 760 aircard and a Cradlepoint MBR-1000 router? I am having trouble using this set-up and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you using the aircard as the Internet source? If so then I don't think it will work,
  • The router uses an aircard as a failsafe
  • Aircards are not an always on connection (even though the mimic the action)
  • Why an aircard with limited bandwidth

I was trying to use the aircard as the Internet source using a cell-phone router, but am having no luck. I travel a lot, and thought that not only could I have mobile internet, I could have mobile phone service as well. And save the cost of the DSL. Guess I will keep the DSL. Thanks for the response.
