Fast number port

Post by kmac888 » Thu Jul 04, 2013 3:47 pm

I put in my order last week Tuesday night to port my home phone number from Century Link (Qwest). It was complete on Monday morning. The quick turnaround time essentially paid for the cost of the port. The sooner to turnoff CL, the more money I save!

I wonder if I'll be that lucky with AT&T? (stifle laugh)
I don't mind getting old, but my body is taking it badly

Hey OldGrouch, I ported away from AT&T (landline only, no DSL) a few weeks ago and it took a little less than 3 business days for the port to complete. Go for it!

Last week ported my AT&T landline (my only AT&T product, no DSL or anything to complicate things) . I submitted the request about 4:45pm Monday 7/1, and the porting was completed @ 9:30am Friday, 7/5.

Going to port from ViaTalk, I have 8 weeks left on my prepaid contract, I'm hoping that's enough time. Happy with Ooma so far!

If you sign up for the 12 months of premier to get the free porting, do you get the 60 day trial in front of that? I don't think I need it, but it's really cheap if you save the porting fee.

If you buy 1 year premier, your premier won't expire until trial period + 1 year.

Thanks. Think I'll sign up for the 1 year. $120/14 months = $8.57/mo
Basic, pay for port $40/14 months = $2.85/mo
So signing up for premier really only costs $5.72/mo for 14 months, then drop it or pay the $10.

Is it better to call in to port or use online form?
