I had a similar situation myself recently. When I discovered that my alarm panel was no longer calling in (I have the same panel you do), I did some research and found that it's generally not compatible with VoIP phones. You obviously had some different experience with your previous provider.

Anyway, my alarm company (NextAlarm) sells a broadband adapter that plugs into the phone line and has it connect over the Internet to them. Interestingly enough, the adapter is somehow using Ooma internally.
