I have me new Ooma Telo sitting in the box, filed to port my exisiting number from Vonage. Today I get an email saying it will go through and I start getting test calls from Ooma. Also a new VM is on "My Ooma" page saying welcome to Ooma and if you hear this your using OOma.

I've never removed the Vonage modem, does Ooma think my Vonage modem is an Ooma device? Just wondering....

No. The welcome voicemail is dumped directly to your voicemail as part of account setup.
