Anyone use Ooma connected to an OnQ Home Distribution Panel (1 x 6)? I have connected to the line in and can't seem to get a signal to my other phone. I am going from an rj-11 to an rj-45 punch down panel and I do not think I am punched down into the correct locations. I have looked at several diagrams and thought I had it. Thanks.
Unless you want to make your alarm work with Ooma, just disconnect your house wiring from the telephone company at the NIB & feed your Ooma phone port to a house wall jack. I have one of these panels and never messed with it (seemed to be more trouble than worth).
I have fax and alarm running and would like this to be my first option. Your suggestion will be my backup plan.
If you want to run alarm with Ooma then you'd want to feed Ooma dialtone to the point where the Telephone company signal enters the panel. You can probably do this visually by matching up the bunch coming into the house at the NIB and the bunch near the panel.
The alternative is to run a dedicated phone line from where your Ooma is to the NIB.
