2nd line vacation home?

Post by bjanton » Wed Jun 22, 2011 8:47 am

Checked and can port vacation home # to ooma. I have Verizon DSL internet and phone service. Will not return to Vaction home until late Oct. Should I start the port now or wait until I am back at the home. If now, how do I proceed.

The sooner your port completes the sooner you can dump the voice part of the bill.

Then, I assume, you plan to carry your ooma to the vacation home to use as your voice service?

Your not using your VVL (vacation voice line) for an alarm system are you? That might not play so well with ooma.
ooma hub with one scout (looking to add at least one more)
Premier Service (I was not expecting to do this, but I love the Premier features)
Panasonic KX-TG4024 (w/ 4 handsets)

Yes, we plan to take the ooma telo to use in place of the land line. No alarm system.

Thanks for the reply. Bob
