Just curious if this is typical for a no frills, single land line port to Ooma, or is it Verizon dragging their feet?

Received order on Apr 11, 2011
Your porting info was verified on Apr 11, 2011
Your port is scheduled to complete on Apr 27, 2011

Ooma states that the port can take 3-4 weeks to complete so two weeks isn't bad. I finally got the wife to agree to porting ours over and I put the order in late Sunday night (apr 10th). Ours is scheduled to complete Apr 25th. However, from what I read from the email that ooma sent, that is a target date and the actual date could be sooner or later than the target date. It will be determined once they get a confirmation from my current carrier.

I'm sure others will be able to provide more insight. :)

Yes, I received an estimated completion date of 4-14-2011 from Ooma. And now that Verizon has confirmed the date of transfer, the actual completion date was pushed out to 4-27-2011.

Guess I need to sit tight while the $$ continues to flow to Verizon. Looking forward to using Ooma full time!

Be patient; the wait will be worthy, mine took a little over a week, 8 days to be exact, just think in the future benefits you'll enjoy when you can kiss your local telco goodbye :)
