behind or before router

Post by Hal » Wed Feb 02, 2011 8:05 am

My Telo is connected to a Netgear WNDR3700 and the network delay is very annoying, conversations always talking over each other. Will moving Telo to the cable modem improve this? I have the Telo in kitchen for access to voicemail. The router and cable modem are 50' away on the other side of the house. I'd have to run another cable or move the Telo and give up access to Ooma voicemail. Suggestions?

Yesterday my Ooma system also started started to have an echo (sounding like a military aircraft radio headset side-tone) with about a three or four word delay, heard after I stop talking. The other party don't hear the echo or delay. It's very distracting.

Probably the best advice I could give is to contact Ooma Support and report your Problem.

Update Information Only:
Late this afternoon our echo and delay problem, that started yesterday morning, went away, almost like it was magic. :D
