ooma COnfiguration

Post by clt28269 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:38 am

Hi,

I was thinking about moving my telo so that it is behind my router. If I do this, how should I connect the Ethernet cables. Sorry for the dumb question, but I am a tech novice. Thanks.

Connect the modem to the WAN/Internet port of the router.
Connect the Internet port of the Telo to a LAN port of the router.
Leave the Home port of the Telo unused.
If you need to access the setup page of the Telo, temporarily connect a computer to the Telo's Home port. If you use a laptop, turn it's wireless radio off to force it to use the LAN connection.
