Job Title: Director of FP&A

In this role you will provide financial support to the CFO. The position requires FP&A experience, solid accounting fundamentals, good modeling skills and experience in forecasting, analysis and reporting. The job also requires a strong business acumen, great communication skills and the ability to think fluidly during presentations and conversations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with R&D, sales and marketing leaders to define overall business strategy, help manage their daily operations, quarterly budgeting, drive product planning processes and business modeling.
  • Provide VPs with budgets, forecasts and a variety of financial analysis to support reorganizing initiatives and monitor their progresses
  • A key member of the planning team and work with PLM to complete business case for new products and their financial models
  • Use of various software including Netsuite, and Excel to provide analytics and reporting for quarterly business reviews and forecasting activities.
  • Support the company’s strategic planning process and providing daily/weekly and mid-month Business KPIs
  • Assist in the preparation of financial and operational presentations for management
  • Conduct monthly financial close process and accruals with a working knowledge of accounting rules and financial concepts
  • Provide business decision support on an ad hoc basis for financial modeling and business case analysis
  • Play a key role in helping the accounting team with the financial close, especially accruals and POs

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience working for small and large companies
  • Consumer electronics and SaaS industry experience
  • Experience in partnering with R&D and marketing leaders to manage the business
  • Experience with Netsuite a plus
  • Experience in preparation and presentation of periodic financial and business reviews
  • Experience with conducting monthly closing of financials and generating financial reporting packages for senior management
  • Management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field; MBA and/or CPA a plus
