ooma, Inc. today announced it joined the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the $173 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry. ooma plans to leverage the membership to expand industry relationships and to help boost customer demand for its home phone system.

The CEA sponsors a variety of events for the industry, including its flagship event, International CES. CES is set to occur January 8-11, 2009 in Las Vegas. ooma will have a presence at the show, exhibiting in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Today, more than 2,200 companies benefit from CEA membership, which includes legislative advocacy, market research, technical training and education, industry promotion and the fostering of business and strategic relationships.
