What do I need to use the ooma system?
To use the ooma Hub device, you need TWO things: 1. A high-speed internet connection (cable/DSL); and 2. A telephone or cordless phone system. You can choose to keep a landline for absolute reliability during internet outages and for traditional 911 service or you can cut the cord from the phone company and save even more!

It should take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on how many ooma Scout devices you will be installing in other areas of your house (each of which will require a standard phone jack and a phone or cordless phone system).
