Buying an ooma system

How much does an ooma system cost?
- In order to make the ooma system affordable to as many customers as possible, we're now offering the ooma system for the one-time price of $249.99. This gets you unlimited US calling and bundled features with no monthly fees! You'll also get a free trial of ooma Premier so you can try out all of ooma's enhanced calling features.
How much does it cost to keep my current phone number?
- ooma can move your number from your current phone provider for a one-time fee of $39.99. If you sign-up for an annual subscription to ooma Premier ($99.99), we'll waive the porting fee. Please note that porting typically takes up to three weeks. You must keep your current phone service until porting is complete. Alternatively, you can keep your existing phone service as a back-up and continue to use your current phone number without interruption. To confirm that number porting is available in your area, please call a member of our customer support team.
I bought the ooma system for $399 a month ago, since I heard the price was going up to $599. How do you explain the reduction in price?
- As an early ooma customer (i.e., if you purchased an ooma system for $399), we'll enroll you in ooma Premier for life. This means you'll get all of the enhanced features of ooma Premier without monthly charges, including the Instant Second Line™ feature, a second phone number with private voicemail, and real-time message screening.
How much can ooma save me?
- ooma can save you hundreds—even thousands—of dollars each year. To estimate your savings, consider how much you pay each month for long-distance phone calls and must-have features, like voicemail, call-waiting, and caller-ID!
What is ooma Premier?
- Once you purchase an ooma system, you'll get a free 60-day trial of ooma Premier. This gives you access to ooma's enhanced features, so you can:

  - Listen to your voicemail directly from your favorite mobile, web or desktop email client
  - Make or take two calls at once with the Instant Second Line™ feature
  - Enjoy three-way conferencing

How much does ooma Premier cost after the free trial ends?
- After the free trial ends, you can keep ooma Premier for $12.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Early ooma customers (those who purchased an ooma Hub device for $399) are automatically enrolled in ooma Premier at no monthly charge.
What if I change my mind? Can I return my ooma system for a refund?
- If you purchased your ooma system from ooma.com, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return your ooma system for a full refund.
Can I give the ooma system as a gift?
- Why, of course! We happen to think our stylish ooma devices make perfectly marvelous gifts for graduations, weddings, housewarming presents, or just about any occasion! Remember, the ooma system is the gift that keeps on giving!
I'm totally sold on the ooma Hub. But how many ooma Scout devices do I need?
- Hmm, that depends. When you purchase an ooma system, you get an ooma Hub device and an ooma Scout device, which gives you access to the Instant Second Line™ feature. If you want to extend the power of ooma to other areas of your home, you can purchase more ooma Scout ™ devices for $59.99 each.
How do I pay for international calls?
- You can prepay for international calls in the ooma Lounge. International calls start at a penny per minute and are payable over our securely encrypted site in increments as low as $10 using a major credit card.
I just placed my order! When will I get my ooma system?
- Just as fast as we can ship it! We do our best to deliver your ooma system in three to five business days.
OK, you've totally sold me on ooma. What do I need to own my dialtone?
- Chances are you've already got the right stuff! All you need is a credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express will work), a high-speed Internet connection and a phone or cordless phone set.

*Your one-time purchase of the ooma Hub™ device means you won't owe monthly charges to ooma for making unlimited long-distance calls in the US using the ooma system for the life of the product. There may be calls, such as 411 calls, where there is an associated transactional service fee, in this case currently $0.99. ooma will provide a list of those numbers and associated fees on its Web site. Should you want the assurance of a landline for traditional 911 service and as an integrated backup in the event of Internet and power outages, you will still save on long-distance calling. Please note that if you subscribe to ooma Premier after the free trial, we will add call forward busy ("CFB") when we provision your line, for which you may owe your landline phone company associated charges. ooma will not change your caller-ID subscription, your long-distance carrier plan, or your local calling package.
