We have proudly shared news in the past of the significant cost savings that our customers enjoy. But today, we wanted to let you in on a really inspiring way that Ooma was able to make a difference. The team at Ooma recently discovered that the U.S. Embassy in Haiti selected Ooma to build a phone service after the devastating Haiti earthquake, when everything else, including traditional land line phone service, was destroyed. With Ooma Telo, the embassy was able to offer a secure, reliable and high quality phone line on the ground for soldiers and relief workers (and even some VIPs like two former U.S. presidents). There was no phone network, but there was a broadband network, so VoIP was the logical solution. The embassy team based in Haiti provided Ooma with photos as well as some interesting examples of how our product was used – check out our Ooma in Haiti page for more details. We cannot express what an honor it is to know that Ooma helped to maintain and keep open the critical lines of communication throughout Haiti, back to the U.S. and around the world.

Thanks very much! From day 1, a friend of mine spoke to me about Ooma, I said to myself that I am going to order Ooma right away. And I did in April 2008, since then I kept on my savings on phone. I am able to help a least one folk in Haiti. That’s another way, indirectly, Ooma has helped.
Once thanks for all.
Keep the good work. Remember it’s a competitive market. I suggest that Ooma keeps investing in Research and Development to continue reliable and quality products and services.
