If I currently subscribe to an international calling plan, how do these changes affect me?

If you are subscribed to our 500 minute or 1,000 minute international calling plan, the list of countries you can call will change at the end of the year. See below for a summary of the changes:

Countries Removed

  • Bahamas
  • Bangladesh
  • Bulgaria
  • Dominican Republic
  • Finland
  • Jordan
  • Kenya
  • Lithuania
  • Macau
  • Macedonia
  • Monaco
  • Russia
  • Saipan
  • South Africa
  • Zambia

Countries Added

  • Andorra
  • French Guiana
  • Georgia
  • Malta

If you are subscribed to our bulk-rate calling plan, your subscription will be cancelled at the end of the year. At that time, you can switch to our 60 country plan, or continue to call on a pay-as-you-go basis using our everyday low rates.

Note: Due to the discontinuation of the bulk rate plan, Premier subscribers on the 1,000 minute plan will no longer get the benefit of the bulk rate discount.

If I subscribe to an international calling plan today, how do these changes affect me?

New subscribers will only be able to select the 60-country plan. For current international plan subscribers, the changes to the country list will take effect at the end of the year.

Will my per-minute calling rates go up?

Customers on the 500 minute or 1,000 minute calling plan will see no change in price. Bulk rate plan subscribers will no longer get access to our discounted rates once the plan is cancelled at the end of the year. All other customers will pay the same amount per minute for pay-as-you-go calling.

Who can call Canada for free? When will these changes take place?

Ooma Premier subscribers can now make calls to Canada for free. Canada is also included in the 60-country international calling plan for basic customers.

I call one of the countries that will be removed from the international calling plan. What are my options?

For now, you can use pay-as-you-go calling to take advantage of our low per-minute rates to your country of choice.
